State of Georgia rolls out Long Term Care Insurance Partnership

State of Georgia rolls out Long Term Care Insurance Partnership

The State of Georgia has just rolled out their long term care insurance partnership plan which is a nice incentive for Georgians to protect themselves from the devastating needing long term care insurance.  If you buy a Georgia Long Term Care Partnership plan from an approved carrier with the proper inflation protection for your age, the State of Georgia will match dollar for dollar the amount of coverage your policy paid out in the event you exhaust your policy.  For example, if your policy paid out 500K in benefits and you used all your benefits, the State will allow you to exclude 500k from Medicaid spend-down requirements.  These long term care partnership plans don't cost anymore so its just an added benefit.
