Obama calls Lieberman into his office today for a Lecture, stay tuned.

Obama is attempting to flex his political muscles today and intimidate Independent Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman into voting for the colossal health care bill by calling him and the other Democrat leaders to the White House for a "meeting."  Chi-town politics at its best will be front and center as Obama and the Dems will attempt to strong arm Lieberman or flat out buy his vote to prevent a filibuster.  Lieberman is a man of principle and is holding Obama to his own words that he preached during the campaign of decreasing government spending.  The government run health care bill which is laced with little pork barrel goodies will really cost 1.8 trillion dollars over the next 10 years, but keep in mind that Medicare is 1000% more expensive than first projected in the 1960's.  This could easily be a 10 trillion dollar expense long term.  Wedged inside is the formation of another government entitlement program called the CLASS ACT that will give really expensive low quality long term health care insurance to people and not pay for itself.  The problem is that no one but the really sick will buy it because private insurance would give you more benefits for less money so it's doomed for implosion like Medicare if passed and just saddle our kids future with more government debt. 

Stay strong Joe, if he holds on his principles rather than politics he will surely be getting an influx of support from moderate democrat and republicans who know you can't spend money that you don't have.
