Long Term Care Benefits for Children and Adults

Today I was reading an article by Rosemary Heins with the University of Minnesota Extension and noticed that Heins makes some good points:

  • The majority of people who need long-term care are elderly, but the need can come at any age.
  • Younger people need long-term care because of disabling diseases, car accidents, AIDS, brain injuries, strokes and other disabling events.
  • Of the 12 million people in the U.S. who say they need assistance with daily living activities, 57 percent are age 65 and older.
  • People 80 years and older have the highest rate of disability at 72 percent.
This is food for thought and provides evidence that purchasing Long Term Care insurance at earlier ages may have its benefits.  We encourage you to request quotes, below, to see just how affordable long term care insurance can be.
