Equitable Life insures sub-standard long term care insurance policies
Good news for people with health more severe health problems than average, Equitable Life Insurance out of Utah has a sub-standard long term care insurance product and a traditional plan than you may be able to get if you have problems such as diabetes, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Now there is no guarantee of acceptance, but we’ve seen clients who have been declined by the big brand name carriers get accepted by Equitable.
Unlike past sub-standard insurers Equitable Life hold relatively decent financial ratings with AM Best at B++ as of July 2009. They do pay claims and have treated our agent’s clients fairly. They are however a much smaller insurance company to be fair and with that comes some potential risk, but for those who have no other option and still want long term care insurance they might be worth checking out.
For years people with insulin dependent diabetes above 50 units a day who are overweight would have been turned down by the main long term care insurance carriers, but now with Equitable Life’s long term care insurance products those people may have a shot. We work with all the carriers and if you have health concerns and would like to talk with us to see if Equitable Life might be a good fit then simply fill in the form below. Thanks for reading our blog today, we really appreciate it.
